Now I have a whole week to forget about flying and concentrate on fun. But, being the worrier I am, I have to wonder how everyone is coping back home and if my cat Zoey is getting along without me. I also feel a twinge of guilt that I actually forgot to say goodbye to her when we went out the door, but my daughter wouldn’t let me turn around on the way to the airport to remedy that.
So, I am just going to lean back on my deck chair, shade my eyes from the bright shimmer of the sun on ocean, keep the sun screen within arm’s reach and, while sipping a mojito, read one of the books I downloaded to my tablet before I left. Perfect bliss!
We hope to take a day trip to Havana and see some of the beautiful old architecture. We went last time but you can never get to see everything in one day. Then maybe a dinner out in Varadero. Other than that our wants are all covered right here in the resort.
As for the three leg journey home by air? Well, I’m going to cross that rum and coke when I get to it.
I tried to post this a few days ago but was having internet problems in Cuba- so it's a bit late as I just arrived home!
