Zoey is a lovely affectionate cat. But some nights she decides she wants my full attention and an ear rub or back scratch at some ridiculous hour. And she is a pushy cat. I discovered long ago that it's quicker to give her a few minutes attention than to try to discourage her. The only trouble is, last night she wanted attention at one o'clock, at two o'clock and at three. When she finally settled down, I was wide awake. It took three chapters to get me back in the mood for sleep.
Now I'm dressed and reluctantly ready to face the day and guess where Zoey is? Snoozing in her sunbeam, of course, in the first of her fifteen daily naps.
Do you have a cat that interferes with your night's sleep? Have you discovered some magic solution you might want to pass on?
And do you think it's a childish reaction to plot revenge on a cat? Who cares! Zoey, prepare to be tickled awake.
